I got a few things done today. I got a new drivers license with my new address and I filed for a business license from Dekalb County. I still need to get my tags changed and to de-register my company from Atlanta/Fulton County. No need to rush anything.
Yesterday afternoon I got under the house and changed the air filter for the A/C. The old one wasn't in too bad a state, but it was beyond its expiry date. While under the house I think I espied a black widow - small, black, with red markings on its abdomen. I was careful to give it plenty of room.
As Being and Nothingness was getting quite heavy for a tired mind (night time is when I usually get to attempt any reading, and most evenings I feel tired), I decided to put it aside for a while and started on 1491, a look at the Americas just prior to the arrival of Columbus. It's a very fascinating read.
There's a software upgrade over the weekend. I gave a training session yesterday and will be doing more training in Athens next week. You've got to love those 5am training sessions. Especially considering I probably won't get to leave until after 5pm. By the time I get back to Atlanta on Tuesday night, it will have been a long day.
I thought I needed to go grocery shopping earlier in the week, but somehow I've managed to make it until today without needing to hit the supermarket. I ate my last pork chop with broccoli and leeks last night, and I cooked up burgers the night before, with grilled asparagus and charred spring onions. So I really did not need to go shopping at all. Now I am out of animal flesh except for burgers, and I really don't want burgers again tonight. I think there's a pizza in the freezer - I might just throw that in the oven. If I can avoid eating out and buying groceries for one more day then money will have been saved!
Today was bills day. Well, more correctly credit card payments day. They were going so well until I had to buy new clothes and new brakes. If it isn't one thing, it's another. On the good side, though, at least I look good and shouldn't crash into anything.
I'm not doing Dragon*Con this year. While I shall miss the fun and games, I really can't justify the cost. And I really need to do something about my back yard...
Briefly interrupted there by a support call.
So, yeah, things are moving along fairly well. Can't really complain about anything. Nothing overtly exciting going on.
