Gayest bachelor party ever
Last night I went out for John's bachelor party.
The bachelor party crew consisted of John, myself, Amy, Sarah and Alice. Yep, 60% female. Yep, 60% former residents of The House of Once. Yep, 60% straight people. Yep, an ex.
We went to Agave for dinner and margaritas, and then to the highlight of the night: the Pet Shop Boys show. Then we went to Side Bar for a round of drinks, then Six Feet Under (where Doug, who had also been at the show, also joined us, thereby increasing the gay factor of the group to an even 50%) until they chucked us out, whereupon we went back to Sarah and Alice's place, and finally I headed home. Via the Local, of course.
It was a lot of fun - so much gay for a straight guy's bachelor party :-)
The Pet Shop Boys first set was pretty slow, and the sound was quite muddy from where we were standing, but we moved forward for the second set and the pace picked up a lot. Things really hit their high point with It's A Sin, which had the entire place bouncing. And, of course, they closed off on a high with Go West.
Off to St Simons Island tonight for the wedding tomorrow in Brunswick. I love my sentient99.
