How is it possible that my little baby boy is six years old already? I know it's cliché, but they really do grow up extraordinarily fast. One day, none of them will need me anymore as they'll be leading lives of their own, and hopefully doing a better job of it than I've done with mine.

For the amount of time we've actually spent here lately, I'd feel ridiculous maintaining a mortgage on this house. If we still had one, that is.

In some ways, maybe. Other aspects certainly seem to dull in comparison . . . things like neighbors and the generally lackluster British foliage.

They're good to spend as much time with Liam as they do, though. I'm not sure how we would have coped during the full moons without them.

We'd have got a lot more use out of those bloody expensive dragonhide suits I commissioned, that's for sure.
