I was just checking www.tvguide.ca to see if tonight's House and Boston Legal were new episodes or not, and it seems that Alex Trebek has suffered a mild heart attack.
He's resting comfortably and expects to be back at work in January.
Long day at work today, but I solved a problem that's been beguiling me since Friday. Who knew that simply declaring an event handler when the object is created wouldn't be enough? The ItemDataBound method was being called correctly, but the ItemCommand event wouldn't fire unless I put an OnCommand parameter into the HTML. And then it took me three hours to discover that I had to rip out some code that I'd inserted yesterday as a result of Googling possible solutions to my problem. *headdesk*
It's nice to be home, though... it's nasty out there. Snow, rain, hail... we've had it all. Have I ever mentioned that I hate winter?
