I’m doing this now, because I’ll forget to before I leave at eleven.
There’s going to be a rally against the budget cut on mental health services in my city/state. A friend invited me, and my mom is pretending that she’s going with me (even though she’ll be at work). The link takes you to Google, where you can see that it’s not just something condensed to one state, but to several different ones.
This is extremely important to me. My mom makes a living, and is even working on getting her Master’s degree, by working with children with special needs. And half of the people she works with in her job at Community Bridges, they’re getting severe budget cuts. So severe, most of them need second and third jobs. This may or may not include my own mother, but the verdict is still up on her.
So, I’m going to the protest tomorrow, and I encourage anyone who cares to do the same. Find a rally where you live, and participate.
