You do not need a polling card to vote in any UK election.All the polling card does is tell you when and where to vote and helpfully list your details as they appear on the electoral register. bah I spent an hour looking for mine this morning!

I only looked at the poll predictions for the first time last night and nearly fell off my chair, Boris SERIOUSLY has such a huge lead? then I remembered the second-place votes which will accrue to Ken but STILL we can't have Boris as mayor, it'll be BLOODY EMBARRASSING for starters, wtf people.

Last I looked the betting markets were giving something like 4:1 odds on a Ken victory :-(

also I can't believe that the London election wasn't on the BBC News front page last night.

I think the requirements of "balanced coverage" (i.e. if you mention one mayoral candidate you have to mention them all just as much) has fettered the Beeb quite a lot during this campaign.
