Too much work = no reviews :(

This weekend is mostly about work for me. Although right this second, I am reading Jamie Craig's Fortune's Return and loving it.

I owe you guys lots of reviews. I had planned to write reviews this weekend, but work has been insane the last couple of weeks. No matter how crazy work gets, I always manage to squeeze in some reading (It is how I keep sane!). Review writing is another story. That requires a degree of concentration and coherence that I haven't had in a while. Yeah, yeah, yeah... Enough excuses. Anyway, rather than completely ignoring what I read, I'll give you a very quick run down.

Psy Cops 3: Body and Soul by Jordan Castillo Price - My favorite Psy Cops book to-date. Increased emphasis on the relationship between Vic and Jacob with just enough horror to keep interesting. Awesome!!! http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...products_id=642

Psy Cops: Mind Reader by JCP - Super Short-short about Vic and Crash. 'nough said. http://stores.lulu.com/jcprice

Psy Cops: Thaw by JCP - Super short-short romantic little interlude about Vic and Jacob ice skating in Chicago. http://stores.lulu.com/jcprice

Once Upon A Veterinarian by Drew Zachary - Superbly written (as always) story about a Vet and a Cop. Didn't work for me, but may work just fine for you. Central premise in the first half of the book is that they are doom to want each other, but not be able to have sex. They get interrupted right as they are about to "get busy" numerous times. I just didn't have the patience for this premise! Another central theme is the Vet letting his business partner and friend (a woman) unexpectedly interrupt his "alone" time with the cop. Again, I struggled with this, because it is so far from my temperament. I would have told my friend "I love you and since you love me and want me to be happy, you are leaving now, bye, see ya, let's make plans for next week". Anyway, you all know Drew Zachary, the story is very well writen. Go for it and let me know what you think. http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...roducts_id=1517

Unicorn by Jet Mykles - A sweet little read with two gorgeous bishies. What I want to know is... is Jack hung like a stallion? LMAO! I only wish I had known more about unicorns before I started reading. http://www.aspenmountainpress.com/new-rele...n/prod_188.html

Wiseguys: To Have And To Hold by Aaron Michaels - A sweet short-short about two ex-mafia guys that left the "family business" behind and opened a deli in a mid-west town. I loved these characters. There is clearly another story with these character somewhere. I plan to find it. http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...roducts_id=1488

Addicted by Cassie Stevens - Marines Vic and Damien had a d/s relationship. Damien needed to submit and Vic enjoyed being dominant. Unfortunately the relationship ended badly. Ten years later they meet again when Damien becomes Vic's XO. Can they work through the problems of the past for the sake of their military careers and more? Very good story. First time I read about sub that disciplined himself. Interesting... There's a sequel and I plan to read it. http://www.amberquill.com/AmberAllure/Addicted.html

A Limited Engagement by Josh Lanyon - A great short story about two guys that destruct and begin to reconstruct their relationship. http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...roducts_id=1485

A Forever Family by Kiernan Kelly - An excellent short-short about two gay single parents moving together and dealing with the fallout of having the news of their relationship reach their kids in a catholic school. This is a very, very good short. However, those who might be offended by negative opinions of Catholicism or religion in general better pass. http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...roducts_id=1479

Stepping Stones by Carol Lynne - Twincest. I love twincest. Didn't really enjoy this story. I can't quite put my finger on what didn't work, but it didn't work. http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...products_id=856

Guardian Angel 1: Fight or Fight by Sean Michael - First installment in Sean Michael's chaser series about a popular singer targeted by a militia group and the ATF agent assigned to protect him. Interesting and hot, hot, hot! Just the kind of manlove treat you would expect from Sean M. http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?mai...products_id=273

OK, That's it for now. Happy reading...
