tonight lindsay and i sat on the porch for a few hours and had an amazing conversation. i am continually surprised by adulthood and new-life-cale and new-life friends, and how receptive people can be to honest communication. so in the middle of this great thing, two dogs ran up to the porch, both very very sweet and loving. one is a huge black lab that looks malnourished and abused, the other is a furry mutt who is either the black lab's new best friend, or his companion in a sorta unsafe environment. the black lab straight up smelled like poop, but what are you gonna do? we played with them for a little bit, and then decided that we'd put them in the fenced back yard and give them food and water. they ate it fast, so we gave them more. then we went back out to talk and smoke and we noticed a truck driving around...huge truck, with some rednecks, looking like they were looking for some dogs. lindsay swears that if they had come up to us, she would have either lied about having the dogs, or flat out asked them why they looked so abused. i might not have noticed but she worked at an animal shelter for a while, and can tell.
anyway, so theyre in the back yard now. there are already 4 dogs in the house.
(im dogsitting for a friend, so bobo is here, plus the three that already live here)....
there are far more dogs than people at the moment.
any suggestions?
