From Seattle Times this morning...

Pride Festival won't be at Seattle Center

The Seattle Pride March and Festival will not be held at Seattle Center this summer because of financial problems, according to organizers.

Seattle Out and Proud announced on its Web site over the weekend that new discussions will take place about where to hold the 33rd annual celebration for the lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual community. The event is scheduled for June 24.

Last year, the group made a decision to hold its two-day event at Seattle Center rather than keep it at Capitol Hill.

The festival wound up $100,000 in debt, while another celebration happened on Capitol Hill.

I guess we're back up on the Hill this year. This actually makes me smile a little.
