The Oregonian is feeling ominous today. A family is ruined by the crippling injury in a convenience store shooting. The rain and wind storm is the first in a series. During the fake terrorist attack drill there was a genuine bomb scare (presumably not terrorist relate).

The rain at least is pleasant, though not entirely welcome. It renders my bicycle near useless and increases my isolation. Still the leaves are gorgeous and the city smells wonderful.

Thinking a lot recently about what I’ve done since college. There are many ways of looking at it. I worked on music for two years. I relocated. I’ve spent four out of five with Natalie. And I’ve spent nearly the entire time (save a few precious months) selling books. It seems to me the only thing I’m good at, the only activity that excites me, is making up stories. Whenever my mind relaxes, I make things up.

Finding a way to exploit this should be my first priority.
