I got a message from my sister in NZ last night. There is a parliamentary election down there on Saturday (I got to vote yesterday!), and she said that people were having election parties, not for the NZ elections, but for the US ones. This result will do so much to restore all the faith in this country that the world has lost over the last 8 years.
In other news, I am a complete moron. I took Mrs Butterwhip into the garage today to have her heater fixed, and when I walked over to the rental car place to pick up my ride for the day I realized that I had left my driver's license on my desk at work. As penance for my stupidity I am stuck for the day in a Starbucks (ugh!) in Issaquah (ugh!).
