This one is all about counting the calories and investing in fat-free foods.
She now whines and complains because I keep some food on the counter, and she says my muffins and cookies are teasing her. Who am I to assume that counter space is for food-keeping?! Oops. My mistake. I always say that she can help herself to whatever she wants, but that is returned with "oh noo...I really shouldn't be eating that", which in turn makes me assume that she thinks I shouldn't be eating it.
Granted, she does have a body like a bikini model, and she does watch what she eats.
I have gained some weight over university....but this living with someone who counts calories is something else. My weight is not my top priority, and it probably won't ever be - I just see this as a shallow personality trait.
If I want to eat pasta twice in one day or have a bagel, then I will, damnit. I feel healthy and I am healthy, so not much else matters to me at this point. I'm no bikini model, and I wouldn't want to be. I guess I'm just annoyed living with someone who is, and thinks that others should be, as well.
