walking dead
i started working at Kohl's last week! it's 2398998% less stressful than working at Target. like, ridiculously less stressful. it's only part time but with corporate visits, father's day coming up, and inventory after that, i've been getting full time hours. the pay is far from great BUT it's a job. one in which i'm working with 4 awesome ex-Targeteers from my old store, too! in fact, that's how i got the job. the assistant store manager there was my old boss when i started working at Target overnights. i walked in and said, "hi Christine!" and she asked if i was still at Target. when i said no, she gave me the paperwork for the drug test and a date for orientation. that was basically my interview right there. pretty sweet!
AND they're opening a store closer to me in September. i'm already impressing the soon-to-be managers of that store, so i may have a promotion lined up by that time. it would be nice to transfer to another store once i get it all down pat, but there doesn't really seem to be any stores in LA/SF/NY that are easy to get to! (and by LA i totally mean Hollywood.) there is one in SF that's a 15 min walk from the Colma bart station... it's also eerily surrounded by cemeteries! see! but they are being pretty aggressive about opening up new stores in CA, so mayyyyybe later.
