Like an endless red snowfall. Lovely, but suffocating. Too late to try to escape it so we'll either choke to death or it will stop.
Spending so much time in the library... I've been going over and over again the information Elric-san and I have been collecting and just spent an afternoon compiling it along with a timeline.
This is information that has been gathered, to my knowledge, from the date of my arrival. If anyone, anyone at all, has anything to add to this, it would be appreciated.
May
10th- Arrival, Weather: Rainy.
11th- Note: Parallel holidays such as Easter to those of Earth.
14th- Chimera's emerge from sewers. Retreated back to the sewers at around midnight-1am. Rain persists.
24th- Rains cease.
25th- Two days missing. No explanation.
June
9th- Earthquake causes minor damage.
25th- Quakes and a roar followed by several explosions from the ground. Top floors of Marshall have caved in.
Note at Lander Boulevard:
"GET OUT OF MY TOWN"
Trapped in sewers
Entries as follows:
June 25th:
Update 1, 2:41 pm
Met Leon near the bathrooms.
Nothing unusual about the phone booths. There is a skeleton in the men's room with a message above him. "This man died as he lived. Full of shit." Note possibility of homicide. No signs of fractures to the bones.
Note date on papers; the year 2000. That was the year I was pulled from...
Unusual.
Update 2, 5:51 pm
Nani and Mona were found at approximately 3:30. Mona has sustained a head injury though is otherwise alright.
Map of subway was found. There are several streets that are on it that have not been seen in Discedo. Currently copying their approximate location.
News article containing writing: "SOFIE I SAW YOU
WHERE ARE YOU HIDING
I SAW YOU"
Article:
"Beloved Husband and father decides to "take flight"
In the mountain suburbs of Discedo, Nathan Trevor, 55, jumped to his death from the balcony of his mansion. His only daughter, Sofia Trevor, 18, was in the attic with him, but due to no signs of injury or struggle on his body, it is speculated that the reason was simply suicide, though no evidence of a suicide note was left behind. Sofia Trevor's only comment about her father's death was that "he finally desired to take flight, but forgot his wings". His wife, Emily Trevor, 36 and aspiring author, could only wonder what drove him to jump. "He had a good life, a caring family. I just don't understand why. Why did he have to die?" "
I believe this could be next location to look into. I'm curious about this Sofia Trevor.
Update 3, 7:07 pm:
Linda has joined our numbers. We are currently nine strong. I do not know if there is anyone else down here as Ryuzaki-san sees fit to drag me back.
Mona will probably need immediate treatment when we get out. The doctors are probably going to have their work cut out for them.
If you are in a dark place that isn't a pile of rubble, please say something.
June 26th:
Update 1, 2:15 pm:
Things seem to be going from bad to worse above. I don't think we can stay down here much longer.
...I'm worried. Gren... Henry...
Something yelped on the second level earlier. Our way to the actual subway may be clear, but...
...What cleared it?
Hopefully, we'll find something.
I'll continue to update this throughout the day to let those above know where we are and what we're doing.
Note: Solar Panels and Auto Shop also destroyed on this date. People trapped in hospital. Attacked by regenerators.
June 27th
Update 1:
Yesterday we ran into quite a bit of trouble... some sort of monster Leon called a regenerater. Terribly difficult to kill, but it's either dead now or it's lost our trail.
Thanks to Umi we have water, and we've been living off the aged snacks in the vending machines.
...Well, those brave enough to try them. Preservatives are a marvel that will never cease to surprise me.
We investigated other subway cars. I wanted to post about it earlier but... well. We were all a little busy.
First things first are subway stops around the city:
From the Brebo line:
Gar Road
Renee Road
Sunset Street
Mountain Pass
Dissimulo
Also, we found... a most unusual clue. A pair of feet. The flesh is long since rotted off.
I am not going back in that box ever again, Sakky. Not after you put those in there.
In any case, they'll be taken back to the police station. At least we know what that pleasant little message "Feet Of Dead Body Cut Off To Prevent Ghost From Walking" meant...
Sakky... I know what yer thinkin'...
As for Bonita line... the only stop distinguishable was Accido.
The same for Miranda line.
Spero.
Dissimulo - to Dissemble
Accido - to Ruin
Spero - to Hope
Hm...
Also, there's a news article that may prove of interest.
In any case, we'll try to dig ourselves out.
Update 2:
Well, someone is shining a light.
I wonder if this is a case of the light simply leading to more danger? Or perhaps an exit.
...
I hear heavy breathing. I think in this case I'll go towards the light.
Wish I had done that a hunnert years ago. Then I wouldn't be here looking out for you, ya useless lump.
Note: Security on comms disabled. Chipped persons begin to experience moodswings.
28th- Led out of the underground by a mysterious woman. Possibly Miss. Trevor?
July
Things to investigate as of July 3rd-
Nathan Trevor (55 as of the year 2000 in this city)
Emily Trevor (36 as of the year 2000 in this city) - Note: Author of 'Our Promise'
Sophie Trevor (18 as of the year 2000 in this city) - First check high school records for graduating classes of 1998 - 2000 for address. She will probably have been in one of those years. (Confirmed to be Scientist Lolita)
They lived in the mountain suburbs of Discedo. Most likely the 'Mountain Pass' stop on the subway. Further investigation of subway seems also necessary, though the creatures Kennedy-san called 'Regenerators' pose a great danger.
4th- Item Rain. Recieved personal belongings.
7th- Device security restored, moodswinds stop.
9th- Scientist Javaid : "A Chameleon has stolen a little bird straight out of the nest". Note: Refers to the kidnapping of one of the other scientists: Lolita.
24th- Note on Walter Sullivan:
Perhaps now would be a good time to share what I've learned of Sullivan-san.
So many of you are approaching this as if Sullivan-san were some sort of random psychotic and in this you are making a deadly mistake.
Sullivan-san has not selected his victims on a random basis. This is a ritual to, not as many say, to bring his mother back to life, but to wake her up. In his mind, his mother isn't dead, nor is she even a human woman. Sullivan-san is convinced that a room is his mother. I think Townsend-san knows more of the details.
Sullivan-san is also not a grown man. At least, not mentally. He's a child who was abandoned as a baby and raised by some sort of cult. Again, Galvin-san knows more than I do on the matter.
He has stated on more than one occasion that he has split from his 'humanity'. It may account for the child-self of Sullivan-san wandering around. If this is, indeed, the case, then Sullivan-san has separated himself from any sort of empathy. His goal is set before him, and that is to kill the needed number of people to wake up his mother. He won't try to cover his tracks, as we have seen. Rather, he'll plow through his victims as quickly as possible.
A little boy who wants his mother will do anything to have her again.
I hope this has been helpful.
August
4th- Onset of headaches caused by supernatural forces.
5th- Ghost appears in the subway. Lacks feet. "Back in the good old days"
25th- Attacked by Licker. Briefly hospitalized.
30th- Small group makes an expedition into the mountains finding an abandoned ranch, empty campsites and a broken bridge. Strange figures are spotted at the base of the bridge's collapse.
September
11th- Mist encroaches on the city forcing people to speak either lies or truth.
12th- Mist clears.
24th- The ghost is given his feet back. A passage into the underground is opened.
26th- Characters take the passage to the mountain suburbs.
28th- John Summers is killed, Lolita rescued.
29th- Sky flickers unnaturally. Powers blocked. Lolita returned.
October
1st- Lake Blocked off. Sample of lake water obtained from Mona Lisa.
2nd- Item rain. Recieved personal belongings.
6th- Another earthquake.
November
1st- Powers restored.
2nd- A satellite crashes onto city hall, horde of creatures called Heaven Smile attack.
5th- Heaven Smile are all killed. Comms once again lack security.
12th- Channel 8 News
Hi! I'm Hope Henderson with the weather. Today was full of clear skies and chilly air, but what can we expect for the month to come?
As we near the winter months, it's going to get colder and colder. But the afternoon will tend to be kinda on the warm side! There's no coming precipitation to speak of, but winds will start to pick up as November comes to an end.
When December starts, though, the warmth will fly right outta the window! Highs will drop to the lower sixties to mid fifties. Maybe we'll see some snow this year. I'm looking forward to it!
That's all for the weather. Now for your local news!
And I'm Molly Krantz with the news! Accido's spy satellite: accidental crash, or terrorist attack?
Now, it's no surprise our dear neighbor still continues to pose a threat to our great nation even after all the devastation. All that can be determined about the satellite is that, yes, it is a spy satellite imprinted with Accido's name. Questions still stand as to the exact nature of this satellite. Was it created before the aerial bombings to monitor the Atropos virus' progress? If so, was elimination of disease the true cause and not political strife? Is it still transmitting? Is the city still in danger from the terrorists?
More details on this catastrophe later.
Next time, the rising crime rate in Discedo. Your children could be next.
And now we move to Steven Gordon with the monster report!
Well, it seems like I get the most interesting of presentations. This is Steven Gordon, bringing you the best for last-- Discedo's monster report.
The Heaven Smiles have reduced considerably in number since the beginning of the month, but unfortunately, they're basically the only one who's numbers have thinned out.
There have been sightings of increased numbers of Poe at the apartment buildings-- funny how most people don't seem to notice those. There are monsters in your apartment buildings, people. That might just warrant some concern, don't you think?
On the other hand, looks like your "lovely Sniffer Dogs" are almost extinct. A tragedy, I'm sure.
However, that is all for now. I'm sure we'll see you all sometime soon.
16th-17th- Missing memories.
19th- Security operational on comms. Electric fence is down. Lake safe.
December
7th-31st Mistletoe and various other festive incidents. Nothing much to note.
200?
January
1st- New Years, food, visions
11th- Satellite suddenly activated.
12th- Channel 8 News
Uh- My name is- I mean, I'm Michael Andrew, bringing you the weather report for Discedo! Uhm, our previous weather reporter, Hope Henderson, had to go to the hospital recently, so I'll be filling in for her.
Well, it's been snowing recently in Discedo. Just in time for the season. But expect snow to continue to fall throughout this month as well. Days will experience highs of around 40 to lows of around 20. It'll be partially cloudy throughout the week... Um.
And, uh.
T-That's it for the weather. Make sure to dress warm! Yeah...
And don't we all hope for her speedy recovery! Though after the Atropos plague, I'm sure this will be a cakewalk for her.
I'm Molly Krantz, here to report to yet again on Accido's satellite. Or should I say weapon of mass destruction?
As one suspicious newcomer has noticed, the presumably dead satellite is up and running once again. I was permitted an up close and person inspection of said satellite, and the biggest questions posed are concerning that little keypad that has suddenly been activated.
What could those letters possibly mean? What will be the consequences of this satellite running again? As many of our original residents know, Accido has never been without a back up plan when their creations fail to do their jobs. I'm sure you all know what I mean by that.
So this begs a number of questions: is this yet another attack on Discedo, or genuinely malfunctioning machinery? Are those letters a code for an even more complex scheme? Does that beeping imply some sort of count down to destruction?
Unfortunately, our investigations team has "left town", so to speak, so these questions can be answered by those curious--and daring--enough to find out.
More on this story as it progresses.
Now with your favorite Monster Report specialist, Steve Gordon!
... sigh. Still the boring reports, I see. This is Steven Gordon, with the usual monster mash. No graveyard smashes for you, though, I'm afraid-- that was decimated a short while ago.
Since our previous report, a lot of monsters have come and gone. Much like the people, hmm? A lot of your old family favourites are practically extinct, while the newer ones are wrestling for a chance in the spotlight. Who's going to be next to terrorise the city?
I don't miss those dogs either, no sir. But I'm curious to see what these "Hollows" will do-- not that they sound that menacing.
If one more Barrel Spider blows up in my face, I swear--
There's also a large increase in monsters within the apartments, so it'd be best if you watched your head!
For now, that's all from me.
14th- Satellite explodes. First signs of GUILT infection.
Code inputed by: Gohan
Infected by GUILT:
Survived - Saber and Switzerland.
Killed: - Prussia, Kamui, Ichigo, and Trunks.
15th- Scientist Phineas is murdered. Suspect Axel. Axel found Not Guilty. Case remains unsolved.
16th- Isopods grow on people's tongues. Not pleasant.
23rd- Miriama (
insinuo ) breaks a gas line. Gas in city causes breathing trouble.
26th- Wind picks up in the area for the day. Gas is cleared out.
29th- Acid rain. Miriama sustains fatal injury.
31st- "Others are alive. And I don't mean you. I mean the natural residents. Have fun with that one! Oh, I wonder what your precious scientists are going to try and say to cover this one up." -Miriama
February
Nothing to note other than brief incidents on Valentines day.
25th-27th- Noise incident from Sho. I died and chip was replaced.
April
21st- A thick fog has covered the city.
26th- Ghosts have begun manifesting. Messages discovered around city read as such:

Several people are led to what seemed to be a prison camp where they were killed rather brutally by ghosts.
30th- things have calmed, ghosts have vanished.
Note: Letter found by a Honey Kisaragi, given to Edward Elric-
Following extensive consultation, dialogue, and review, a conclusion and agreement has been reached:
Recognizing the various and mutual interests of the participants, and recognizing both the current state of affairs and a mutual need, both participant groups agree to share research, facts, techniques and facility conditions in order to reach a satisfactory product.
We are pleased to put aside differences in order to work together with Discedo's facilities in order to produce the results that are needed.

Uh, erm-
This is going against when we normally report news, but it's important? It's important! Uhm, this is Michael Andrew, here to report the weather. This just in! It has been predicted that Discedo and the area surrounding it will be experiencing some odd weather, due to the- uh, the volcano which erupted not long ago.
...I mean, of course it would. There was that whole- Um. Getting side-tracked here.
This week, we should expect light flurries of ash in the skies. It may grow in density by the end of the week, so be careful about inhaling it. Or just inhaling it in general. Though volcanic ash isn't poisonous, it could cause respiratory problems if inhaled. So I hear, anyway.
That's it for now! Man, this summer really sucks.
Note: Effects caused by volcano.
Note: Museum findings.

here “The Siege of Dissimulo in 1896 was the most important turning point of the War of Western Independence and is considered the bloodiest battle in human history, with more combined casualties suffered than any battle before or since. The battle was marked by brutality and disregard for military and civilian casualties on both sides. The battle is taken to include the Hollish siege of the city-state of Dissimulo, the battle inside the city, and the 8th Coalition’s counter-offensive which eventually trapped and destroyed the Hollish Sixth and Seventh Armies. Total casualties for both sides are estimated to be over nine million. As a result of the battle, the Hollish suffered roughly 5 million casualties, 1/3 of their strength on the Western Front, as well as a huge amount of supplies and equipment. The Hollish forces were never able to recover from this loss and were eventually forced into a long retreat out of the West, ending the twenty year phase of Hollish Imperalism. For the Coalition, who also suffered great losses during the battle, the victory marked the start of the liberation of the West leading to eventual victory over Hollisland in 1903.”
