The Diggler might be a good dagger early in the game for some characters, due to some of its bonuses, if not it's low damage. Instead of directly attacking with one, dagger-class weapons are widely used for special purposes. This particular dagger has rather good stats across the board, especially with high (25%) cold and fire resistances and a healthy speed increase.

This is not considered to be the interesting part about this seemingly ordinary unique though, instead it's all about the actual origin of it's name.

See, this dagger was named "The Diggler" because it's base item is "Dirk". Now, some Blizzard designer (or whoever came up with the name) has probably seen the movie Boogie Nights, featuring the character Dirk Diggler played by actor Mark Wahlberg. Let's just say his character is involved in certain strong sex scenes in this movie (Mark has also made more appearances in well-known movies such as Planet of the Apes, The Perfect Storm and Three Kings).

So, with his sexual skills shown in Boogie Nights, I can guess where at least the 30% Increased Attack Speed and +10 Dexterity come from. I'm leaving Ignore Target's Defense to your naughty mind. :)

Again, many uniques (at least since 1.09) have some connection to their name, and this one is probably no exception.
