Boring fashion post

I feel like I have spent the last couple of months trying to track down a pair of 7 For All Mankind flare jeans in New York Dark (I despise light colored jeans, which is something sales associates don't seem to understand). I had a pair of these jeans and I adored them (until they got a hole in the butt. First pair of jeans since 6th grade I've actually "worn out".) They were magical. I think if we could only send pairs of them to the Middle East, all would be well because it would be undeniable proof that American Consumerism can produce beautiful things.

I didn't think they would be difficult to find, but apparently the gods who control material goods realized these made me happy and decided to take them from my grasp (along with Campbells Select Mushroom Ravioli soup and Aunt Jemima whole wheat french toast). No stores carried them, and they were very hard to find on the Internet (plus, who wants to order Internet pants? What if they were wonky or didn't fit rght?)

I finally found them on Revolveclothing.com (great site), and they offer free 2-3 day shipping, and free returns. Best part? I found a coupon code and got 15% off, so I only paid $127! (Yes, I know that is ridiculous, but I paid $165 for them in Chicago, and considering I wore the hell out of those things, I think I got my money's worth.)

I also bought a North Face backpack the other day to replace the pink LL Bean that has haunted me since high school. I just couldn't go to law school with a pink backpack. I can't believe I paid $70 for an effin' backpack, but they are supposed to be the best for carrying heavy loads. Plus, if it lasts as long as the LL Bean one did, I can pass it down to my nephew or something.

I think I've officially spent all the money I made at my (entirely too short!) job. But, really, having pants is more important than buying a new laptop. Hell, I could get at least 7 pairs of jeans for the price of a MacBook.
