These are my first attempts at making dolls with old panty hose (I hope I washed them first! - can't remember....). I was approximately 12 or 14ish - I made Star Trek people for my Mom.
From
The Big ThreeThe Big Three! Oooohhhh! They're holding hands.
Note the size and leg variances between one limb and the next. Guess I didn't notice it at the time - go figure.
From
The Big ThreeThis is Spock in his ceremonial/meditation robes.
From
The Big ThreeThis is McCoy (of course). It seems I had issues with sizes of limbs and such - must be some medical condition McCoy is working to solve. It seems he's looking a little old - maybe from the episode "The Deadly Years".
From
The Big Three This is Kirk. He's looking rather rotund - hmmmm.... Must be in later episodes of the original series when his hair was looking greasy and floppy. Somehow his face didn't turn out as well as Spock and McCoy's though. And what's up with the hair! Not Star Fleet regulation length at all! Oh! One pant leg is shorter than the other - must not have had time to dress properly after one or another conquest.
From
The Big Three Note the fancy stitching in Spock's pants. (See, HoL - I can knit too!) The other dolls got felt pants as it was easier to make than knitting them.
Hope you enjoy my arts and crafts! That's all.
