Yep! Fan service - putting it in the fan's faces to piss them off and get them all riled up online. Hah! I'm sure that's also a part of it as well. :) I can actually see that happening to try and promote the Show and viewership.
I think it would be tough to develop any female character in the SPN world. Or if they get too interesting, the Show kills them off! Thanks Show for giving us Ellen, Pam, and Jo and killing them off. *slaps them*
You know, I think the stuff that Dean says, it's mostly just guy tough talk. I've heard my guy friends say crap like that and they're not thinking that it's offensive to us, their female friends, because they've separated us from women that they do call those names. I don't know. *shrugs* It's not an excuse or an answer, but even good men talk trash about women in the heat of the moment. Heh.
I think Dean puts women into two columns - women he has sex with; and women he's put on pedestals.

Looking forward to seeing the show though - hope it will be better than last season. Any excuse to watch the boys is fine by me - yummy!
