what i love about musicians is that you never know what unimageinable beauty is behind their fingers. scientist proclaim that music is just a change in pressure in the air that our inner ear drums sense and tell our brain, and our human brains like it. but i beleive it is much more than that. how is it then that you can hear what you want out of a song when youve never heard it before. how is it that you can feel the surge of divine human ability surge up through the ground and your bones and feel the very essence of a mere "change in pressure". God gave us music for his glory, but instead it is used for our own. but it sure is good listenin'.
classical music is like a nerd. Jazz is like the smart boy next door. the nerd is precise and logical, and orderly. he is basic but ingenious at the same time. he can give his point promptly and accuratly. the smart kid is none of these, save his point. it can be given in an impromptu way. itll come straight out of the left field and hit you right in the forehead. the smart kid has a way of making you like him, but will slap you in the face if you werent listening enough.
