man. the doctors office that we're using for the pregnancy is all fucked up with the scheduling and whatnot. i made my first appointment in may for the friday before memorial day. they called me the day before and told me i had to reschedule. i had to wait three weeks for the visit. so i show up for my appointment and they had me scheduled for the day before. i never got a call to confirm the appointment or to tell me that i missed an appointment. so i had to raise hell and got in to see the doc that afternoon (my original appointment was supposed to be at 10am). so today we go for the sonogram, and my appointment was at 8am. we waited an HOUR before we got to go back, and the tech tells me that she accidently took the 8:30 patient ahead of me. man....there's no worse time to fuck with a woman than when shes PREGNANT. and these people have fucked up both times i've been there. if the doc didn't come so highly recommended, i'd look for another one. but anyway, it wasn't all bad. i did get a cd with pics and video to share. check it:
11 weeks 5 days - this is the head and body which is about the size of a large shrimp:
i have video of the little guy (or girl) moving around in there too, but it's .avi format, so i need to try to convert it so i can upload it to youtube.
walker and kiahna were with me, and all kiahna could say was that the video was "freaking her out." she said "it's like there's a little alien inside your body mom...it's so weird!" we got to hear the heart beat, and the tech felt bad for making us wait so long so i think she took a little extra time to get the video for us. anyway, the rest of the day was great. i didn't know how i'd feel today, but i felt normal (two days in a row! YES!). so we went to eat breakfast together, then i came home with kiahna and crashed for awhile. then we went to barton springs for a couple of hours, ate nachos and snow cones, then made it home about an hour ago. we just discovered an awesome "nature trail" that is close to our house and has a big pong with fish and ducks. we went yesterday with bread and found out that the ducks will eat out of your hands if you sit really still. plus there's a million turtles and they come pretty close too if you're patient. it's great. we're going to head back there now, so see you fools on the flip side.
PEACE!
