the boxes

This may sound very basic but how do you change the colour of the top boxes (the ones that are dark green and purple in my journal) Livejournal deleted everything all of a sudden and I can't seem to remember how I did it, and it's really doing me in so thanks in advance!

first color is #f40000
set the color scale to be lighter.

sorry to be a pain but where should I put that? I keep trying the 'Edit customizations'link below 'Change Individual Settings' but I can't fid an option for the boxes :(
