An overabundance of pocketbook exploration filled my day Saturday. It spilled over into Sunday. Between these bits were moments of much drinking, Hairspray: The Broadway Musical, drinking, SAILORS SAILORS SAILORS, and a few nice prints I got (all red, all kind of sexy in their own way).
So that was my New York trip. Overall fun, but kind of exhausting. I’m sick of looking at pocketbooks. The thing I like about sailors is how you can see their underwear through their pants. I don’t know, it’s ok because they’re in uniform. Anyone else I’d find that gross.
I’m once again listening to Halford’s “Live Insurrection” double disc set at work. That’s at least 12 days in a row. I don’t know, it kind up makes the day seem meaningful. I wish I could get some really good speakers in here and have it all the way up all day long so I felt like he was here with me.
I installed Dragon Naturally speaking so I can dictate to my computer and have it type for me. I feel like I’m sort of on the edge of things. I want to play it random tapes and have it just write what it hears. I know I can use a digital recorder and have it transcribe, so maybe I should get one. I’ll never have to type again. It’s slow, though. And trying to do chat with it was kind of interesting. It’s a lousy browser program because it won’t take me to any porn sites. It’s doesn’t understand boy can be spelled boiz. Stupid thing. I guess it’s kid-safe. I gave up trying after one site. I just wanted to know if I was mumbling something dirty it would take me somewhere equally dirty. Big breasts are funny when they bounce on your desktop.
I drank a lot of wine last night. I didn’t gobble many pills, though. Some cold/cough ones, some allergy ones, and some anti-anxiety ones. The combination wasn’t much fun, though I had a very very strange dream about driving around in a van full of ‘old timers from the neighborhood.’ Then this VERY morning on TRL I saw the new Good Charlotte video that had all old people in it. Weird. My dream felt more like a movie than the video which is just a stupid parody of ‘fill-in-the-blank’-core videos.
That NBC thing on debunking psychics last night was good fuel for me because someone I work with despises organized religion and is always ‘commenting’ or ‘critiquing’ it, but steadfastly believes that John Edwards is legit. ???? I don’t get it at all. If you’re going to think that believing in god is for fools, you can believe in John Edwards and not think you’re a total hypocrite? And also the existence of psychic phenomena as an explanation of other dimensions and aliens??? Wow, you’re just replacing Mickey Mouse with Donald Duck, surely. Ok, enough about her and her views.
If anyone is in the Providence area, go to Kamp tomorrow night (Wed) for open request night at the bar. It’s lots of fun, it’s not crowded, and I’ll be there. Nuff blinking said, dears.
