because askars_daily's creator maker enthoozed deleted, and I couldn't go without my daily dose of Askars...so!!

someone in the comm said that when i was trying to say "hey, gorgeous" with "tjénare, oemotståndlig", that i should have used "tjänare" instead...tjénare is like, the one Swedish word I know how to say/spell, I really hope I'm right :( skdhgkdsjhg anyway I just basically want some qt subject lines...like does my most recent one "ett leende liksom den sol" make sense?

Well you can spell tjenare either way- with an e or an ä. So you're both correct! And it should be "liksom solen", not "den sol". Because you're kind of saying "a smile like that sun." :)

Whew, okay. I fixed that one--I figure 90% of my errors will be article agreement (sing/plural, masc/fem/neuter)...'cause i'm purposely avoiding using verbs since I have no IDEA where to begin there, haha :[ I tried to find a Swedish book at the bookstore near me the other day...no such luck. Polish? Sure. Norwegian? Of course. Afrikaans? Even one of those. Swedish? NOPE. DENIED. Sigh. One day.

Haha, good call! We're all about suffixes and non-hyphenates, it can get really interesting. And oh man I totally know what you mean! I tried getting books on Mandarin and Turkish and was overwhelmed by like, Tagalog, Korean, and Latin. I was seriously wtfing in the language aisle.

I wish I got a whole aisle for language...we have a whopping two-shelf section D: I want to start at the beginning and learn it well, though, so I'll do what I have to do. Luckily, I have forvo.com to keep me going :)...well, that and the thought that there is a land of men who bear resemblance to askars......
