You know how sometimes, a celebrity or person of note will die, and I'll post the worst possible pun/bad joke I can think of?
Steve Irwin is dead, and I have no desire whatsoever to do that.
A stingray. He got taken out by a stingray that stabbed him through the friggin' heart. That's sort of..."anti-climatic". But the real heart-breaker is that he was originally taping for a nature special he was producing, and when inclimate weather slowed down taping, he went to get stingray footage...for his eight-year-old daughter's TV show. He died not only loving nature as only he did...but he also died in the act of being a great dad.
The man loved what he did, was excited about animals and teaching us about them, and was entertaining while doing so. Not to mention the huge donations he made for wildlife.
The world has truly lost a great man, and for the first time I can remember (and probably the last time until Robert Guillaume dies), I'm genuinely saddened by a celebrity death.
I feel terrible for his two kids.
