Caring is what counts!

...says the Care Bears on my awesome new Care Bears coloring book that super awesome people got me. I've had a good share of caring people these past couple of weeks, and for them I am thankful.

A couple of things since my spaz entry a couple posts ago have changed: Galena trip fell through. And my 2nd graders won't be able to receive their First Holy Communion at our school. They'll have to have it at their home parishes. Which, yes it makes sense so that when they move on from our school, they'll have the connection to their parish. However, most churches require that the students take the religion classes AT that parish in order to receive the Sacraments. And since it's past the 1st semester, the chances of them being able to participate in this year's First Communion is very slim, even though we have been preparing them through our religion classes. I'm sure it'll all get worked out.

For whatever reason, my health won't seem to get back to the norm as quickly as I'd hoped for. Since Christmas, I had some kind of bug. I'd get over one, then a new thing hits (getting through my 5th one right now). Some people call it "First-year-teacher initiation" where my immune system gets attacked by all the lovely germs in my classroom and school. Others have called it 'bad luck'. I'd like to think that what doesn't kill me makes me stronger. And though it had taken a toll on my patience causing me to lash out on people I normally would never think to snap at, I've realized that I just have to trudge through it and not let it get me down---no matter how frustrating it can be. Major case of 'cabin fever' and I just have to accept the fact that if I wanna get stronger, I gotta avoid the snakes 'n piranhas and just...rest.

...because.............

In 4 days, I will be on a plane to COLORADO! to go SNOWBOARDING! and I CAN'T WAIT!
