Okay, so office life is shaping up. At least, it's shaping up when I actually get to interact with people and not my computer (which makes very interesting noises when you try to get it to go fast. I'm thinking it's going to explode someday.) I'm certainly getting a very thorough education in local eateries, and we went to an excellent Indian place for their lunch buffet, which was nice. Not Nawab nice, but nice.
Not to mention that I have cool coworkers. I love Mark's accent and Ann's husband is awesome - sort of like my stereotypical image of a slightly eccentric uni professor. Actually, he reminds me of Michael Caine, only with fluffier hair. And it's got to be cool that his son is
Luke Malby - of "Prince and Me" and "28 Days Later" fame. (Going from a zombie to a prince, hmm...interesting career direction.)
Ooh, he just finished a movie with Billy Boyd. Might have to see that.
Anyway, I think I can handle the whole office thing for a while, especially if there's a chance to get out of the office and go to conferences once in a while. We'll see once the paycheck comes in. Which it will hopefully do soon, because I'm seriously broke.
