Let me tell you something, there is not one supervisor that we have that got the job by sucking up to Bill. The only thing sucking up gets you is sore lips.
the people that get promoted to supervisor is not the one that can bitch the loudest, or puff up his chest and say I can do that job better than he or she can. The one that gets promoted is the one that does their job, and helps out, and goes the extra mile. Not the one that thinks "how dare they ask me to do a little more so that someone else doesn't have to work so hard." So what if you had to do theater checks, and clean the bathrooms, and lobby. If you think the motto should be if something is wrong fix it, then you should start with your attitude.
Try being the first one there on a friday morning, and the last one to leave that same friday night, then the next day, saturday being the first one to get there, and that same saturday being the last one to leave, then the next day, sunday, being the first one to get there, and then being forced to go home, because you can no longer use your right arm. O-ya, and I was on pad 13 in concession for each shift. Do that, don't bitch about it, do the job, bust your ass, and keep going as if it is business as usual, when you can do that, then you might be ready for a red shirt. I am not telling you this to piss you off, I am telling you this hoping that you will reevaluate your attitude that you have had. If I don't get it, I will quit, isn't the way to look at your job, because that is the best way to lose it, or get passed over.

One more thing, I don't usher, or work concession, but I am always helping out. So does that mean that someone is not working as hard, because I have to help? No, it means that I care enough about the place I work, to lead by example. Do not be a do as I say, not as I do. Be a do as I do, and you won't have to say as much.
