so i've got to get a new elbow for my thermostat housing and then put it in, and with a little gas, oil, and air, i can borrow the tag from Jody, drive it to the shop and have the oil and tires looked at. from there we will see what fixing the oil will cost and i will decide what to do about it and if the car is going to stay with me long enough

That doesn't mean I didn't try. I got in a fight with my mom and got grounded and I had no way of getting online and you said it yourself, you couldn't find you cell phone and your house phone doesn't ring.
