Originally uploaded by bowiemullet It occoured to me, after my last post, that I was fully justified in buying Rufus Wainwright's album off iTunes.
Considering he's in my top ten listened to artists list, it's a guilty realisation that I've never actually purchased anything of his. The same can be said of Tom Waits, Jamie T, Rosco McQueen and Lady Sovereign.
Im a dirty downloader.
Admittedly, there are both Tom Waits and Jamie T records and cds (respectively) in my household, but I- the primary consumer of them- ain't chipped in a penny towards them.
David Bowie, Incubus, J.K. Rowling and Why? have had loads of my money already, but yeah.
Im starting to feel guilty that some of my favourite musicians have come to be so because I've illegally downloaded their stuff... I get so much joy out of their music and havent paid my dues.
I dunno.
I dont feel inclined to cough up for the back catalogue any time soon. But you know.
It's got me a thunking, like.
