..happy mardi gras..pfft..
i had a wonderful week with chris, don't get me wrong. we got plenty of wedding stuff accomplished...2 of the 3 registries...(which need to bed edited after i add Target)..wedding bands are on "layaway"..-l- that sounds funny. they are lovely, though. as a christmas present, chris' aunt took our photos just for fun..those came out great. -g- i'll put them on myspace when i get the chance. threw a birthday party for the oldest step-daughter..-g- hannah montana and all...-sl- was fun.
on mardi gras day, however...we got the call that chris' last living grandmother had passed away...so we had a funeral to prepare for on thursday...(sorry i didn't call, eliza..we'd planned to try to make it up on wednesday to see you. -pout-)...that night, my mom had returned my phonecall and told me that zorais -- our chihuahua -- had been hit by a car and was dead, also...NOT a good day. -sigh- so the rest of the week was very dismal until we got the kids on friday. and by that time, chris and i knew our time was pretty much done, so we were at the sad stage.
i drove home this morning. ugh. 6 weeks until easter break. -sigh- chris' mom is throwing me a shower on the 22nd, i believe...the saturday in between good friday and easter? yeah..then. so that'll be fun.
anyways, i'm off.
