it's been a long while since i've updated this thing.
mark and i saw howie day on monday. the show was good, two acts opening for howie; lizzie west and matt nathanson. remember that second name, he is excellent. as for lizzie west, she sounds like natalie merchant, only less refined. she appears to have an "i think i'm joni mitchell" complex, and cannot pull it off. but matt nathanson was awesome. good between song banter with the crowd. he played a twelve string and had a cellist. i'm all in favor of that whole orchestrial instruments in rock music. howie day did some cool things too, and you can read all about it next week at http://www.thejibsheet.com as well as my interview with jason priestly.
pearl jam is tonight. i'll need to take a nap beforehand, to fully enjoy the evening. oh so much to do.
