excitement abounds as october 29th comes closer. i've heard only good things about ryan adams' live performance. should be good.
school is going well. music history is very interesting, and a definate A grade. english is good, i procrastinate though, because it's only twice a week. but i'm getting alot out of that class.
poly sci was interesting today...we had a discussion about gun control, violence in america, etc. the catalyst for this conversation was the topic of the DC area sniper(s), but lead to the statistic that the city of housten has more annual gun violence than the entire united kingdom. as my teacher always says, it's very painful...very painful. there was no resolution reached by the close of the gun discussion. some people said to outlaw all firearms, others said even if you did that, they would still be illegal means by which to get a gun. other people boasted about how many guns they own, and how they feel safer with them, and how it's there constitutional right to bear arms.
i love freedom, america is good for that most of the time. but americans have a tendancy to claim that they have the right to do anything, "that's what america is about" they'll say...i don't have a remedy for this ailment.
anyone have any thought/opinions about this topic?
