Well, yes, Sherlock Holmes and Criminal Minds have something in common. Aside from the fact that SH is basically CM in Victorian England, the two male leads also seem to be a little bit in love with each other.
"What were you doing just now?"
Flushed, Reid said, "Thinking. Trying to make sense of the crime scenes. What Sherlock Holmes called

I didn't hate the last episode, but I didn't like it either. I really didn't like what they did with "our" characters. But hopefully next week will be better. Although I do have to say a giant NO to Hotch/Prentiss (I guess I can understand the appeal of that 'ship, but it really does NOTHING for me).
Yeah, Jack the Ripper is so iconic of the time that he really would come up in a crossover concerning crime. I'd love to read your idea too, if you ever got around to writing it. However, I need to have time travel involved because I need to have Hotch and Reid and Holmes and Watson all hanging out in Baker Street (I have this scene in my head where Hotch and Watson are talking while Holmes and Reid play chess. I also have a snippet with Reid and Holmes over Holmes' chemistry set). I too am not that good at case fics and feel that I'm better at character-studies and relationship type fics, but... the damn crack-addicted plot bunnies are taking over my mind on this. I think I'm going to have to write it now.
I would totally join a CM/SH comm. Totally.
Looking forward to more "scans" whenever you get them up. Thanks again. I really appreciate reading the little snippets of H/R goodness.

and i second the potential greatness of the cm/sh comm.

Oh God, that sounds delicious already! I can totally see Watson bitching talking about Holmes with Hotch and Holmes making blatant observations on Reid's perpetual, not so subtle crush on his handsome boss, lol. I mean if there's what you're going for, it would EPIC.
I wish I could maintain a comm, but realistically I would make a horrible mod because my job could take over my life at anytime. :P
Speaking of which, I must away for said job. I will be back as soon as it's over. :D
PS. Oh, the "scans" are coming. ^_^

I can't believe I'm doing this.
I think I'm planning to have Hotch and Reid already involved in a relationship, but Holmes and Watson dancing around one (and Holmes being all sorts of bitchy because in 1888 (the Ripper year), Watson was just about to get married (although trying to pin down a timeline in SH is like attempting to hit a target strapped to the back of a cat being chased by a dog, or something like that). But yeah, there's going to be a lot of bitching talking by Watson about Holmes and observations by Holmes about Reid (and Hotch).
I've even figured out how Hotch and Reid get back in time. And why they're going after Jack the Ripper (well, other than I need a contrived plot device).
Oh god, I wish this would write itself quickly because I want to know what happens.
Cracky plot bunnies FTW!
Oh, and I too could never actually maintain a comm. We'll have to find someone to pawn that off on who wants to do that, because that comm would so rock.

This story actually seemed quite interesting. I'm definitely considering ordering the books (and adding H/R scenes to them in my mind).

It's interesting that in this book the themes of "bed" and "sleep" seem to be revolving around Hotch and Reid, lol.
Aghhh, someone needs to write these missing scenes.
