I haven't heard the AI8 song that won the song-writing competition but I think the one for AI7, Time Of My Life, SUCKS.
I wish Cook had had to record Dream Big, instead. Or Hello, sigh. I'll never get over the fact that I have to live without a studio recording of it. [/rant]

I didn't follow Cook much, but I do have his both albums, the unofficial one before Idol -- "Analog Heart." There are some great songs on that album. If I had listened to it before AI7, I might even rooted for him on the show. :)
