Do people still go on dates? I'm not talking about random encounters or inviting someone to grab a meal ten minutes before the fact, I am talking about premeditated dates. I've been thinking of that ever since you posted this blog. I know that, back in my parents' day and before that, a teenager was expected to go on lots of dates. I mean, it was appropriate for kids to date several other kids, to go out with someone different every Friday night, or to meet up at the malt shop or whatever after school. "Dating around" was considered healthy and appropriate. "Going steady" was considered to be the inappropriate bahavior ( ... )
