I finally got some food about an hour ago. It was pretty good, barbeque stuff. I spend most of my evening sitting in the dark and transcribing piano sheet music from my computer to a couple pieces of grind paper, exciting. I'm still not finished, I have some lines to draw. The specific piece I was transcribing was the piano solo during the song "Blind Faith" by Dream Theater. I first started working on it back in October or September of last year, but I didn't get further than the first four measures or so. I've been relearning those measures recently and I thought it would be nice to finally get the entire section down. It's fun to play, and Ryan recognizes it everytime I play the parts I know. He's excitable. ( =
I've not been playing that thing(keyboard) all that much during the last few months. Doug moved it to the basement one day so that he could program the drums and bass on it and solo over that with his guitar. It's been down there since and sometimes while I'm in the basement I'll fiddle around with it but I've not been getting any real practice or playing down with it. Although, Doug still gets a lot of use out of it from time to time.
I plan on going down there later and trying out the rest of this song, some of it looks kind of hard so I'll probably have to drill it for a few hours, but maybe I'll be able to come out on the otherside with its memory in my fingers.
I guess what I really should do is call my girlfriend back. She called around 10:15 and I was in a really bad mood from not having eaten anything and I think I upset her. I don't think I was actively being a jerk or anything, but I do believe I gave her some negative vibes and really should call and see about her. I'm afraid of possibly waking her up, though. She said she would come over tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to that right now. I kind of wish she'd come over tonight though, I miss her andI don't know how many days it's been since I've seen her. Too many I'm willing to guess. /=
Oh well, I guess I should go do something.
