I'm getting on track with school. It was a much-needed change.
I can remember talking to Katherine about how much I slack off and how scared I would get. I would have nights where I couldn't fall asleep, and I could hear my heartbeat in my pillow. I imagined myself being poor, and sleeping in New Haven green and having little kids throw old pieces of croissants at me.
I was supposed to make up a chem. test, but I never did, and told my parents otherwise. Sunday they were making salad and slamming things around. "We'll find out if you're lying. We're talking to your teachers on Thursday." I watched Molly eat the pieces of lettuce that flung from the counter. I told them. My mom slammed the fridge door and said I was a liar and didn't deserve any rewards. My dad just stood there and agreed with my mom, because he is her pet. I went upstairs and did my homework for three hours. Monday I didn't do anything. Yesterday I found out I had a civics test (which I should have known on Friday apparently), and I outlined the entire chapter, sociological voting factors and all. I know I got the best possible score, with the bonus. I am the best cheater ever.
All this work is catching up with my sleeping habits, though. I napped from 2 to 6 today, went to my math tutor and then crew. I actually did something. I stapled pieces of tape to a counter. And that staple gun is so cool.
