Mothers Day
Looking at bogs and tweets regarding Mother's Day, there seems to be a common theme of Mother working hard to provide her family with a Potemkin-like experience of pampering her. She does the preparation of the breakfast-in-bed the night before, and by 10am Sunday is presumably slaving away with the cleanup after the children and incompetent father have finished.
