Our knife drawer became stuck the other day. We could only open it a crack. Something had evidently become lodged between the back of the drawer and the slat of wood running above the drawer at the front.
If this ever happens to you, I recommend that you follow my mother-in-law's suggestion and slip a flexible chopping board into the gap. We had to tape two together and attack it alternately from front and back, but eventually we got it open without too much damage. I recommend against having a three-year-old "help", however. Beware of too much side-to-side which can cause additional items to become lodged.
