Don't you just hate attention seekers?
I was on the tram the other day, heading home from uni when some silly fuck gets on. Carrying about 150rolls of toilet paper.
My immediate thoughts were that he had some sort of serious bowel problems, but upon seeing me stare at his belongings, he began talking to me, explaining a sob story that his girlfriend and her mother asked him for some, and that he worked selling toilet paper at some market. QV market I assume.
All fine and dandy to here.
He subsequently asked me what it was I did with my time. Being polite and everything (*cough*), I replied, telling him I studied chem eng at uni. He took this as some sign to mention that he studied law at melb uni. Now, I'm not sure whether they accept mentally deficient people to study law at any uni (except perhaps vic), but this guy must have thought I was as gullible as buggery. I don't profess to be able to comprehend peoples' intelligence as easily as that, but you know when someone has a few loose bolts.
Anyway, the dude and I eventually get off and get on the train (unfortunately he was heading in the same direction I was), and he immediately begins to attempt to sweet talk to this cute girl selling her some sob story about how his old man asked him for toilet paper, and how he owned some company blah blah blah.
Attention seekers shit me.
Lying ones moreso.
Too many of them around.
Why?
