So, what's new? Well, yesterday I got the face paint, green hair spray, and knife I'll need for my Joker costume, so that was fun. (Oh! Crap. I just remembered that I'll need a deck of cards, too. Accessories are essential when it comes to costumes. *nods*)

I also had a look at some other costumes while I was out, and...I gotta say, I didn't see one costume for women that wasn't slutty. Well, okay, there was one with a cape, but that just makes it seem more like a flasher's outfit than anything else. I mean, these things were like bras and underwear with spooky patterns. If I wore something like that in this weather, I'd die of frostbite. I guess I could go as a sexy zombie popsicle, but somehow I think being the Joker will be a lot more satisfying (for me, anyway).

Last night I was more sociable with my roommates -- I had a really good talk with India about world travels -- and I was rewarded with a much calmer, more friendly atmosphere. The four of us plus Nick, India's boyfriend, all watched a marathon of The Office, and we had a great time. Then, later, before I hit the sack, I talked to Sophie about carbon monoxide poisoning. Despite the, er, unusual topic, the conversation was really laid back and giggly (we are teenage girls, after all), and I felt oodles better about my roommates than I have in days. We're still fluctuating a bit between tersely polite and actually friendly, but I think things are improving.

Today I was supposed to do a scene with my partner Mike in my acting class (we were going to be cop and witness, talking about a stabbing), but he was out. Oh well. Hopefully, we'll get to go first on Friday. I'm really looking forward to it. I've been rehearsing possible scenarios in my head (it's an improv, so I guess I'm technically not supposed to, but eh), and I think I've got some good stuff to work with: guilt trips, talking about the greater good for society, etc. so that I can get this guy to tell me the information he knows about the murder case. It's going to be a blast if I can get my nerves under control, heh.
