DELICIAE BOUTIQUE
Why settle for just one adventure?

Game Premise

Owned by some eccentric and seemingly "invisible" foreigners, Deliciae Boutique captures the attention of all those who happen upon it. Hidden in the heart of Tokyo and away from shopping hot spots, the boutique is practically unknown by media and fashion fanatics. Its name appears in few magazines and newspapers and is frequented only by those who know of its existence. Although it holds unusual hours of operation (twenty-four hours a day, open Friday and Saturday only), its floor is completely restocked each week with costumes of two types - the left side of the store holds one style, the right side holds another.

How is it that the shop is able to afford new inventory each week when no one has ever walked out of the boutique with a purchase?

It's just another part of the mystery that is Deliciae.

At Deliciae Boutique, customers will soon find a literal meaning behind you are what you wear. The secret is in the dressing room mirror, a portal to adventure. When a customer tries on a costume and looks in the mirror, they are transported to the time and place characterized by their apparel. They can make up a new identity and experience a different world.

But they cannot return until they've completed their story. They must live a day in the life of another. Until then all mirrors are windows. Only patience can bring them home.

How This Works

When is the boutique open?

Threads in the boutique may take place on Friday starting at 6 AM to Sunday morning at 6 AM. Any threads set in a time frame outside of this will be asked to change.

What costumes are in the boutique?

Each week the mods will post a "week change" that details what costumes are available in the boutique. One week will have two sets of costumes, one for the left side of the store and one for the right. These are the ONLY outfits you may put your characters in. If you don't like one side, choose to play the other. If you don't like other, you have one last option.

You can have your characters thread outside of the boutique on any day of the week. It is only if your thread takes place in the boutique that your thread must have the time marked as listed above.

We don't want to limit your characters to a fantasy world. Let them take a break for coffee if you're in need of a slower week. ;)

One week in real life is one week in the game.

This does not mean you can only play in the boutique on Friday and Saturday in real life (you have a week to initiate an adventure), but does mean that after one week the mods will change the costumes available in the boutique. After this point, no new threads can be started with the previous week's costumes. Threads already started during that week, however, can be continued by those still playing.

Your character can try on anything.

And that means anything available for the week. BUT BE CAREFUL. You character will become whatever you place them in. For example, if a male character tries on a dress, he will be a girl for the duration of his adventure (and vice versa!).

Characters can go in together or separate.

You can choose to have your characters enter the world together through the mirror, or separately to meet up in the other dimension. This is up to the players involved. Don't be afraid of group threads!

The plot is up to you.

The mods will only be giving descriptions of the costumes in the store and the setting they should lead to once tried on. After that, it's up to the players to decide what happens during the day and what completes the character's story. You do not have to make your "day" an entire 24 hours, but to be stuck in the world for only 2 hours is not the right idea. Feel free to show time changes through "fade to black", another thread set in the world at another time, or by simply writing in your thread, "A few hours later." How you set up the timeline is entirely up to you.

You can play both sets of costumes.

If you'd like to explore both sets of costumes during a week, you are absolutely allowed. Just make sure that the character tries on one costume on Friday and one costume on Saturday. If they try on both costumes on the same day, you will be asked by the mods to change.

Your character can appear at the boutique for the first time.
In the first week, either of the game as a whole or your character's first week of activity, they can thread as if they've never been to the boutique before.

How to Set Up a Thread

Threads will be in third person, paragraph format.

Format your threads with the following at the top:
