Fearless early World Series Predictions!

Oct 18, 2005 00:59

What happened to Lights-out Lidge tonight, and Rodriguez last night?
Over the past few years I've only really watched Pujols sporadically (it seems that as power-stacked as the Cards have been over the past few years they still get surprisingly little coverage during the regular season, atleast on the West coast. ), and I'm finally starting to get impressed. Sure, I've been aware of the MVP numbers the past couple years, but honestly this Astros-Cards series is the first time I've really seen what the hype is all about.
But still, I think the Astros will nail it down, and then eventually get beat by the White Sox in a surprisingly high scoring series.
My World Series predictions...
World Series: White Sox over Astros in seven games.
World Series MVP: Scott Podsednik, .330, 10 RBIs, 8 SBs, every White Sox run.
Key Moment: An especially bloated Clemens intentionally beans Podsednik who then steals second, third and home plate. Garner then takes Clemens out and he never pitches again, amen.
Memorable though eventually meaningless World Series moment: an arthritic Bagwell pinch-hitting a HR in Houston.
Most uncomfortably hilarious on-air moment: Joe Buck and Tim McCarver clumsily asking an injured Frank Thomas how it feels to be sitting in the stands in the postseason.
