you think it failed only because it's a clever ruse for T Boone to make back some of his money?

people always have ulterior motives. Obama has many, and I hate him precisely because no one seems to believe that he's anything other than Jesus personified coming to save America. He's a human, a lawyer, and a sheep. Whether he enacts positive change or destroys everything we know as America, it's not because of his will. Politicians are puppets for people like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and T Boone. They do what they're told to do by the people paying them to do it. It's a sad reality. The only way legislation happens is if someone with enough money wants it to happen. That is why Washington is so utterly fucked and why politics, in reality, can seem utterly unreasonable.

Why is it you think people voted against a bill for wind and natural gas energy?

i think the problem here is that you assume that none of us are aware that obama has his problems too, that the bipartisan system of politics in this country is in its own way inherently flawed. but i have to tell you, i already know this.

i support obama because although he isn't perfect, he is a step in the right direction. he's not a panacea, but he is indicative of a societal shift which, although incomplete and sometimes hard to see (prop 8 passing in CA), is still present and palpable when compared to previous years.

so you must understand, you don't possess some kind of unique perspective on politics in america. we make our choices will full awareness of what they mean. we have as much information as you do.

Well, I have to disagree.

I have never seen a politician so entrenched in the party system as Obama. For evidence, look at his voting record. There is nothing progressive about him.

This is the problem I have. Demonstrate to me one thing about Obama that is actually new or different, because I have not seen or heard one.

I see him as the king of politically correct zombies. I'm sure there are some people who agree with his politics, but I am just as certain that they are not the only ones voting for him.
