Katherine Cohan
Katherine is the younger sister of Alex Cohan, his other half of the Pair they make. She started on the road with him when she was four years old. Six months on the road and she barely remembered a life before the constant moving around, running, and fighting that her brother and Selene did while she and Josh hid from the demons.
Life isn't exactly what you'd expect. A post-apocalyptic world means that you don't wish too far, don't want too much, and be grateful for that which you have. Katherine may not have a stable life, being on the run and living out of a car, but she has a family. She has Josh, her Prince and protector, who is also her age. She has Selene, her adopted sister - though Selene takes more the role of mother - who she wouldn't trade for anyone. And finally she has her brother Alex, the man who saved her the day he got the call, kept her safe as the world tore itself apart, and joined forces with Selene to give her as safe a life as he could.
Yes, she does wish that she had a more stable life. Who wouldn't? Especially when they're so very young. But she knows that it's more important to stay at least five steps ahead of those that are hunting her and her family, and she would never put her family in danger.
Later in life, she'll be glad that they finally settled into a house. As she got older she helped Selene to take care and teach the youngers that were left at their settlement while the olders went out to make the world safer for all of them. She also helps take care of the animals their settlement has, helps with the farming of their food, care of their garden, and makes soft eyes at Josh as they go about their every day life. It's easy to tell how she feels about Josh, how she's always felt about Josh, but it's completely obvious when they get youngers that are similar in age to her and are pretty. She's completely protective and a little jealous about Josh. He's her Prince, and has been her Prince since they were little and she refuses to give that claim on him up.
