Disturbing Dream
I had a really disturbing dream last night. My left hand got cut off somehow. I was visiting Japan with friends who remained relatively faceless through the whole dream, and we were out trying food at some street cafe, getting some ramen/miso soup hybrid. At some point we go back to our home and I don't remember how, but I end up with my left hand cut off and holding it in my right, looking at the stump on both ends. Then, only like you can in a dream, I put it on the end of my left arm and it kind of sticks there, but the skin was loose and stretched out on the hand and didn't fit right anymore....
It was super creepy. The way the dream ended was with me going to a doctor with a list of items I wanted to happen during the reconnection they were going to do, such as, "reconnect the nerves, reconnect the bone, please fix the skin that doesn't fit together anymore."
I really wish I still had a dream dictionary. That's a strange one. It was creepy but I was more weirded out than scared or freaking out. Hmmm.
Today's my "floating holiday" off of work. Legacy gives their employees one extra holiday a year to take as a personal day, and my dad is flying into Denver today, so I was taking today off originally to go see my Great Aunt Mary with my dad, but she's been sick, so I'm not entirely sure what we'll be doing. My sister is going to pick him up from the airport, so I have my whole morning off. I think I'm going to do some yoga (today is my projected day to start eating well again) and play Final Fantasy XII. I do have homework to get done, so we'll see on that too.
