im fuming tonight!
ok so I was in need of a t-shirt, because silly me only brought polos. and it was 99 degrees today and I just wanted something lighter for the weather....
So When Crystal got off of work we went to walmart. and Thankfully they had t-shirts on clearance so I got a lightweight one for 5.00 she had to pick up some birthday cards...
So none of that makes me mad but we go to stand in line and there is an obviously preg. lady infront of us. buying 5 cans of formula with a WIC coupon...
Now, I think WIC is a good program, its been around for a long time. she bought 58.90 worth of formula. Let me repharse that. our tax dollars bought her 58.90$ worth of baby formula, for a baby that mind you, isn't even born yet.
now im all for helpin people out. Ive been on food stamps before so i can appreciate what it can do for those IN NEED!
ok to make a long story short. the cashier enters the check blah blah blah she signs. good to go. THEN she says and I need to purchase a pack of cigarettes....
pays with pocket change for this pack of smokes.... um
yes now I am mad.
there should be some regulations on who can get this WIC. if you are pregnant and are smoking and putting yoru unborn child in immediate danger, you should't be allowed the benifits of WIC.
