Out of any MMO I have yet played I would say that the amount of time it took to even install FFXI (on one of my past systems) was proportional to my personal disappointment with the game itself. (personal disappointment being the key phrase here).
I am sorry to have to decline the invitation. I'm sure the game has evolved, but I didn't even sense an FF feel to the game at the time I tried it. However the outstanding feature of the game I loved was how the auction house functioned. The blind bidding process made it easier to get a probably gross amount of coin for me to begin with for items I thought were trash.
Though beyond any personal reasons I have, since I am playing EQII, I won't be touching any other MMO's at this time. I have learned through experience that I cannot enjoy any single one properly unless I give it my full and consistent attention when am in the mood to play anything. Besides, one monthly fee is enough, especially since my cash flow (lack there of) only affords me occasional stints into any game universe. Uncle Sam and my tax return paid for this one :) (and helped pay my shared overdue phone bill with one of the roomies)
Bug away when you see me. I should be around, eventually :)
