...dude, that story is titled from a song called "International Small Arms Traffic Blues." Just, for the record. Of awesomeness. In case you are not up on your Mountain Goats references.
I don't have a copy of the song handy for uploading right now, but here's the second half of the lyrics, starting with the relevant line:
Our love is like the border between Greece and Albania Our love is like the border between Greece and Albania Trucks loaded down with weapons Crossing over every night Moon yellow and bright There is a shortage in the blood supply But there is no shortage of blood The way I feel about you baby can't explain it You got the best of my love
It's off their album Tallahassee, which is a concept album about a codependent couple of alcoholics who move to Tallahassee together and go inexorably down in flames. (I spent much of season three of House thinking that it was the soundtrack to House/Wilson, if that reference helps.)
Um, but International Small Arms Traffic Blues is really one of the cheerier tracks! So hurray for your OTP!
In the fannish spirit of giving not only more than is asked for, but more than even a faint interest has been expressed in: Tallahassee! And it only took, like, a week.
