Dearest, Yuletidest Santa

My belated letter to you is just to say that whatever you write I'll love, regardless.

I like things with humor. Wry humor, really, but broad slapstick will do. I like happy endings. I like poignant moments and little details. I like discovering the secret things you've discovered about the characters as you write them.

30 Rock: I gave you pretty detailed suggestions, but anything with those characters on any level would rock my world. A fight between the characters is also cool, if ship makes you want to vomit.

Playing by Heart: Only my most favorite movie in the world that's not a Jane Austen adaptation or Terminator. No pressure, eh? I'm all about finding the characters' soft, romantical, gooey centers in this movie. In my ideal world, the movie would just go on another two hours (even though the ending really was perfect). Think of that how you will. I've loved all the Yuletide fics I've read in this teeny little obscure fandom--as a reference point (though the archive is closed, so that's no help!).

HIMYM: There's just not enough HIMYM in the world. So anything would be awesome. Really. I do believe that friendship is the root of all the relationships on the show, however, so I feel pretty strongly that ship should be multi-layered, and further, utterly schmoopie Barney is a bit of a turn-off. Callously schmoopie Barney is a turn-on. Sorry. That doesn't sound like I believe "anything would be awesome" does it? But anything would be. I oath it.

Daria: Basically, what I said in my request... Anything that keeps a little of the sharpness of the show is awesome.

But whatever you write me, be assured I'll be happy to get your story in my stocking on Yuletide Morn.

Thanks,
BBS
